Finally my new Key West 196 BR arrived last Saturday and after tidying up a few things like trailer and boat registration along with fitting some electrical equipment ,it was time to wet it for the first time after a 3 month wait for it to be manufactured and shipped from the US.
It was certainly worth the wait for this boat it’s dry and very stable while travelling and at rest while fishing. My good mate Pete came out for the maiden voyage for the running in of the motor the Suzuki DF 140, we also stopped for a while to catch some nice fish and managed 10 different species from approximately 30 fish landed and released for it’s first trip.
Here’s a few shots of some of the fish we landed for the day it was a great way start with a new boat.
This is a very nice boat to fish from with front and rear casting platforms with room and seating for 4 anglers.
